Matt Hancock told Rosena Allin-Khan to emulate Keir Starmer and Jonathan Ashworth, who curtsied whenever a Minister came past, as good little Opposition frontbenchers should.
That is indeed the style to which this Government has become accustomed. Starmer has decided that it is his job to tell the Government how well it is doing, while ever so politely suggesting that it might tweak this, that or the other.
But that is the job of a backbench MP from the governing party. It is not the job of the Leader of the Opposition, a position that is now vacant in every way except that Starmer has the gall to draw a salary for doing it when he is not.
