From 210 to 627, the death toll has practically trebled in the last 24 hours. The extension of the furlough to October places it beyond doubt that the Government expects a second spike. But Rishi Sunak is well and truly outflanking Keir Starmer and Anneliese Dodds from the left. 

The State is using its sovereign  power to create all of this money, so it should create enough to pay 100 per cent rather than 80 per cent. And both something like the Jobs Guarantee, and the principle to which effect would be given far more efficiently by means of the Universal Basic Income, have now been conceded. The Centre is the think tank for this new era. Please give generously.
