When Boris Johnson does not sack Dominic Cummings, then Professor Neil Ferguson should sue for constructive dismissal, for discrimination, and for anything else that his solicitor can think of.

If Professor Ferguson's story had broken after yesterday's Jennifer Arcuri business, then he, too, would still be in his job, since no one would have had the moral authority to sack him.
