It turns out that the 77th Brigade leaves its contact details strewn about the streets. That we are not all dead when thus "defended" would lead anyone to assume that we were not under threat, or at least not under threat from anything against which the 77th Brigade was supposedly defending us.
Of course, like the Integrity Initiative and like the Institute for Statecraft, the 77th Brigade needs to be disbanded. Something like MI6 needs to exist, although it is a different question whether MI6 itself does. And we need the disbandment of MI5 in favour of Police Officers who, while highly specialised, were nevertheless part of accountable community policing.
