With twice as many people dying in poor areas than in rich ones, the poor are far less likely than the rich to want their children to go back to school.
Like Keir Starmer, the Government just wants those children's parents back at work, and to hell with whether or not there were deaths. The Blairites also want that, and, like the Nicky Morgan section of the Conservative Party, they especially want working-class boys to be brought back under middle-class female control.
None of them can conceive of the slightest formative value in spending time with beastly proles. Whereas Boris Johnson's Eton and Rishi Sunak's Winchester are not going back until September, and even then not until everyone has been tested.
Quite right, too. And nowhere goes back until Eton and Winchester go back. Insist and resist.
