Those demanding that the state schools reopen take it as a given that even death would be better for the children of the lower orders than having to spend all day in the company of the beastly sort that produced them.
Even out loud, it is stated that, by not following the largely dull and highly repetitive curriculum, "They cannot be learning anything."
After all, it is not as if the schools closed at three o'clock or even earlier, were never open at the weekends, and were abandoned altogether for three months of the year. Presumably all that spare time is also spent "learning nothing".
Nowhere goes back until Eton goes back. Just as nobody goes back until all MPs go back.
