Including American citizens, the participants in the Bay of Piglets fiasco face imprisonment for 25 to 30 years.
Imprisonment for 30 years is the most severe sentence for anything in Venezuela, where capital punishment has not existed since 1863.
No doubt its reintroduction was one of the aims of the Piglets in their attempt to conform Venezuela to the United States.
Along with numerous other ways of killing people, neoliberalism cannot function without the death penalty. As, on our present course, we shall see in Britain soon enough.
