Let's just declare the accusation of rape to be the conviction, since the accused is no longer to be given the right to defend himself properly.
Whoever this is supposed to appeal to, it is not the voters that the Conservative Party picked up to decisive effect in 2019, or whom it aspires to pick up in 2024. Those had originally placed considerable hope in Jeremy Corbyn.
People who wish to vote for the power of middle-class women over working-class men, and for the power of white women over black men, are once again free to vote for the Labour Party, which is now even led by a former Director of Public Prosecutions.
