Laetare

But in less than three months, we, and in public that has meant only  I, have worn the whole thing down to the point that there is now just some sort of anonymous online survey for anyone cute enough never to have learned the true meaning of the term, "public consultation". Look it up if you can bothered, and fill it in if you must. The "results" have already been written, of course, but who cares?

All talk of a "sex party" is long gone, and there is still no evidence even of any kind of drinks party that had breached the lockdown. While that event would have been wrong if it had happened, both the then Prime Minister and the present Prime Minister have received fixed penalty notices for attendance at similar. But as with the allegation that drove Canon McCoy to suicide, the damage is done. It says everything that needs to be said about the Diocesan Safeguarding Office and about the Catholic Safeguarding Standards Agency that the blog of "Bishop" Pat Buckley is their sewer of choice.

Still, since no charge or even arrest has followed the alleged allegation against Bishop Robert Byrne CO, then it is fair to assume that there has never been a Police investigation into His Lordship. He should now sue every media outlet that had suggested that there was one. An Oratorian does not take a vow of poverty, and the English Oratories have friends who could afford any lawyer in London.
