Nothing To Lose But Our Chains

10 years ago, Jeremy Corbyn was the only MP to defend the memory of Ed Miliband's father. Today, Miliband accused Corbyn of anti-Semitism, which the motion barring him from being a Labour candidate did not mention. Despicable stuff. However venerable the Today programme may be, it is not covered by parliamentary privilege. Corbyn should sue.

Being in a trade union that was affiliated to the Labour Party now feels like scabbing. If Unite were still affiliated in 2026, and if no one with a higher profile had stepped up to the plate, then I would be a candidate for General Secretary, both to secure disaffiliation from the Labour Party, and to secure disaffiliation from the ILGA.
