Except that The Spectator is already in the Parliamentary Lobby.
It may already be registered as a newspaper with the Post Office, as most of
the outspoken Fleet Street opponents of the dreaded statutory regulation are.
And it is certainly owned and published by a limited company. A limited company called, of all
things, The Spectator (1828) Ltd.
But, in the Spirit of 1828, we cannot be having any of that "State licensing".
