John Bull's Other Island No More

The Irish Republic sends about one eighth of its exported goods to the United Kingdom (including only about one per cent to Northern Ireland), and it sends about six per cent of its exported services to the United Kingdom.

Just under a quarter of goods imported into the Irish Republic come from the United Kingdom, which is also the source of just under a tenth of imported services.

Those figures are not negligible. But the idea that the Irish Republic's economy depends on a relationship with Britain is far behind the times. The Border is a different issue. But a No Deal Brexit holds no economic terrors for Ireland.
