When a 22-year-old on social media can get businesses and councils, some of them Conservative-controlled, to feed hungry children, then who needs a Labour Party, which under its present Leader would certainly not be providing free school meals in the holidays, if at all?
Still, we have one. And either the current Leader of Durham County Council, who has superstitiously obtained a court order that prevents me from uttering his name for fear of putting a hex on him, will be its candidate at North West Durham at the next General Election, or he is afraid to face me. Either way, please give generously.
The Government was right to vote this down...Bassetlaw MP Mr Clarke-Smith asked: "Where is the slick PR campaign encouraging absent parents to take some responsibility for their children?
ReplyDelete"I do not believe in nationalising children, instead we need to get back to the idea of taking responsibility.
"This means less celebrity virtue signalling on Twitter by proxy and more action to tackle the real causes of child poverty."
Hear, hear!
It'll happen. Like the second lockdown, it is now inevitable.
DeleteI love this, first he loses his council seat to George Galloway, then you keep him out of the North West Durham seat in Parliament.
ReplyDeleteSadly, they would then give him a peerage. But yes, this would be great fun. Let's do it.
