Appropriate Under The Circumstances?

I am not going to name the Conservative MP who is being investigated for rape, but there is no legal reason not to do so, and paid reporters certainly should.

At the same time, since he has not been convicted, then there is no reason for him not to attend the House of Commons, and every reason for him to do so. A constituency has precisely one MP.

As for his continued receipt of the Conservative whip, I hate to break the news to Jess Phillips, but that party has worked out that people like her were never going to vote for it, anyway.

Whereas people who think, as I do not, that even rape defendants at trial ought to be anonymous, with that anonymity retained for life in the event of an acquittal, are among the key swing voters in the key swing seats.
