Reprisal

A clean sweep of Mayoralties (meaning a 50 per cent gain), the loss of all of one council to No Overall Control while remaining the largest party, the loss of fewer council seats than the Conservatives, and the retention of both parliamentary seats.

Will Labour's agony under Jeremy Corbyn never end?

Speaking of parliamentary by-elections, if Mark Clarke wants to avenge himself properly, then he ought to reprise his candidacy at Tooting.

  1. Jeremy Corbyn. First leader of the Opposition to preside over a net loss of council seats in 34 years.

    34 years!

    Quite a distinction.
