Playing The Board Game

The BBC always had the footage that proved the truth about Hillsborough. The matter of Orgreave is about to revisited.

Again I say that neither the Left, nor the North, nor the working class in general, nor the old mining areas in particular, nor even simply football supporters, has any reason to defend that Corporation in anything like its current form. They have every reason not to.

If the 1,856,168 inhabitants of Northern Ireland can be guaranteed one of only six Government-appointed members of the new BBC Board, then why not at least the first three of those categories, one way or another? A single individual could fit all three bills, but even so.

Don't ask, don't get. You have to play the game if you want to win the game. Be at the table, or be on the menu. Get on board, so to speak, or get under the bus.

What have the Liberal Establishment and its precious broadcaster ever done for us?

  1. seems the Beeb also allowed the Henry Jackson Society or Carl Bildt or the Grauniad editorial team to pick our Eurovision jury this year as it gave its top two scores to Georgia and the Ukraine...after all the tolerant liberals of this world would much rather we reward a piece of Stepan Bandera-worshipping neo-con propaganda based on a false interpretation of history than a Korean-Australian or a North African Frenchman
