"If you have to keep saying it, then it can't be true." And they now have to keep saying that, "Northern Ireland is part of the United Kingdom."
The question is how its two tribes, both of which are utterly Irish when viewed from Great Britain, are regarded by the inhabitants of the Irish Republic.
Probably as Irish in the way that a lot of people in America or Australia are Irish. But probably not, in either case, as any more Irish than that.
British withdrawal from Northern Ireland would not necessarily mean a United Ireland. Sometimes stepchildren just end up as orphans.
