The confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh will make little difference in his own country and almost none anywhere else.

But one small consequence might be justice at last for Kelvin Hopkins.

His attendance at today's largely deserted Prime Minister's Questions demonstrated what an assiduous parliamentarian he is.

He was elected as a Labour MP, and presumably he still wishes to be one.
