Star Turn

For all the faults of Richard Branson, the British State should step in and make up the billion dollars that he has chosen to forego from Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund for his Virgin Galactic, Virgin Orbit, and The Spaceship Company.

Among other things, that would more than compensate him for the renationalisation of the railways and of the NHS.

Both the return of public ownership and the return of space exploration used to be written off as peculiar to cranks who were still living in a bygone age. Even now, there are those in all parties who would take that view.

Another hung Parliament is coming, however, and our people need to hold the balance of power in it. My crowdfunding page is here, or email davidaslindsay@hotmail.com for other options. That address accepts PayPal.
