Destabilising Actions

Those pirates probably were Iranian, but they were certainly not agents of the Iranian State. I would like to say that the warmongers were going to have to try harder than this, but they have never had to try any harder than this in the past.

Our intervention in Afghanistan, rather than confront the Saudis over the attacks of 11th September 2001, has turned the Taliban into what George W. Bush and Tony Blair had claimed that they were. No longer a purely tribal affair, they are replete with Arabs, with non-Afghan Uzbeks, with non-Pashtun Pakistanis, with all sorts.

There has never been an organisation called al-Qaeda, but that is its strength. You can kill an organisation, but you cannot kill an idea. The New Taliban are the latest concrete expression of that idea. If and when they took over Afghanistan, then that country would become what our lords and masters pretended that it was 20 years ago, rather than take on the real one, their dear friend, Saudi Arabia.

Iran stands only the remotest chance of preventing this, but no other force on earth stands any chance whatever. Yet the drum of war is beating ever more loudly against the undeniably atrocious regime in Iran. That regime does not attack us. But like the House of Saud, an Afghanistan run by the New Taliban would do so all the time.
