Tiers of Anger

The Liberal Democrats are going to vote for the lockdown after all. Along with the DUP, no more than 20 Conservative rebels are expected, mostly well-known malcontents or cranks. After four weeks, the plan is to go back to the tier system. You know, the one where a national lockdown, complete with the furlough scheme, is brought back as soon as London and the South East need it.

The rest of us can have decided the 2016 referendum, the 2017 General Election, and the 2019 General Election, but we can still expect only to be talked about rather than spoken to, and certainly not to be permitted to answer back. Previous Governments have not owed us anything electorally, so, although we did not like this kind of thing, we could at least put up with it.

But ours are the key swing areas now, and it is something else to have to be treated like this by our dependants. I am a declared and active candidate for the parliamentary seat of North West Durham at the next General Election. Please give generously.
