"Why Don't They Go And Join The Tories?"

Despite the praise for anti-Corbyn Labour MPs in Theresa May's speech, there are two reasons why they cannot join her party.

First, they are economically well to the right of her rhetoric, at least.

And secondly, they wanted to be the Conservative MPs for their own home areas, but they did not come from the right families or go to the right schools.

So they are stuck with the Labour Party and with the areas that elect it, a party and an electorate that they neither like nor understand.

Alas, therefore, there will still be scores of them sitting behind Jeremy Corbyn after the next General Election. Another hung Parliament is coming, however, and our people need to hold the balance of power in it.
