Contempt of Cameron

Andy Coulson is to stand trial in Glasgow for perjury allegedly committed while he was the Prime Minister's Director of Communications.

I hope that David Cameron commits his third contempt of court.

That would make it impossible for him to visit Scotland without fear of arrest, and thus to campaign in relation to the referendum on independence.

But the certain victory of the No side would thus illustrate his complete irrelevance.

And the position of a Prime Minister who was legally unable to set foot in a given part of the United Kingdom - not only a constituent nation, but even so much as one village - would obviously be untenable, obliging him to resign.

  1. Rather like the victory of the SNP in Scotland demonstrated Labour's complete irrelevance.

    1. Except, of course, that it didn't. And in any case, Labour is on course to win the next Holyrood Elections (I assume that they are the ones you mean? That question makes my point), even in polling before the heavy defeat of independence.
