Nor The Years Condemn

Dan Byles is all of 40 years old. But he holds the most marginal Conservative seat in the House of Commons, that of North Warwickshire. So he is retiring.

Everyone, absolutely everyone, now accepts that Labour is going to win the next General Election.

Almost to the day, the Labour candidate for North Warwickshire, Mike O'Brien, is 20 years older than the retiring Byles.

Topically, he was for a time Solicitor-General during his previous 18 years as that seat's MP, a tenure which began a few weeks before the retiring Byles was old enough to vote.
