One year today since Close of Nominations. Sometime the night before, or perhaps even that morning, Richard Holden had become the last party candidate selected in the country. You know the rest.
11 months after having lost this seat by a mere 1,144 votes, Labour still has no candidate here. What little material that the Constituency Labour Party puts out, is about its philanthropic response to the pandemic. That is all well and good. But no one in that CLP's heyday could have mistaken it for a charity.
I am a declared and active candidate for the parliamentary seat of North West Durham at the next General Election. Please give generously.
