Not Forgotten Here, At Least

Of local interest, I am very disappointed, and really quite angry, to learn that hardly anyone turned up to Colin Burton's funeral.

The political great and good in these parts have cut me off, of course, so they did not tell me that he was dead, even though I had known him longer than any of them had. 

But I do not know what their own excuse was. History began with them, I suppose.
