With longstanding ties to Macmillan, I am delighted that it is to benefit from the sale of that duck house. But remember this: as with the moat, not a penny of public money was ever paid out for it. And the whole business appears to have affected no more than one seat, that of Jacqui Smith, who might very well have lost it anyway. Now, can we talk about policy, please?
