Apparently, Andy Coulson no longer enjoys a pass for the Palace of Westminster. He is regarded as less acceptable or respectable than those who have such a thing on the say-so of Gerry Adams or Martin McGuinness.

It says a lot about one of your former tutees, now a postgrad, that he cannot forgive you for once saving his neck, without which he would never have become a postgrad at Durham, if anywhere. It says a lot about him that he wants to keep in with the Murdoch media. What it says about him is not good.
What will there soon be to keep in with? If Tom Watson and Chris Bryant push this as hard as they could, then they really could finish off a man of 79, especially one who is used to his own way and who cannot cope with anything else.
The pro-life, pro-family, pro-worker and anti-war voice of an economically social democratic, morally and socially conservative patriotism towards the North of England, the United Kingdom, the Commonwealth and Christendom. One Nation politics, with an equal emphasis on the One and on the Nation. Conservationist, not environmentalist. Far too conservative to be capitalist, far too left-wing to be liberal.
