Around The Houses

So Connaught is bust? Council house sales, freezing of the capital receipts, contracting out of council services: what a phenomenal success, right up there with the ongoing re-stimulation of the economy by means of cuts in jobs and public spending, as required by almost the only economics permitted to be taught, or to be published in peer-reviewed journals.

And all because her father was once removed as an Alderman. Her father, who was never a member of the Conservative Party to his dying day. Her father, to whom she barely spoke while he was alive and who did not even give her away at her wedding.
