I am trying to think who could possibly still be trying to get into Britain. But nothing could assist them more than being picked up by the Royal Navy. What does Priti Patel expect it to do? Gun them down?
Meanwhile, whom does Tom Tugendhat mean by "our Ukrainian allies"? What alliance with Ukraine, exactly? Of course, he is free to present himself at the Ukrainian Embassy and enlist, but he was officially deployed to Afghanistan as a TA schoolie before being openly acknowledged as a spook 13 days later.
When Tugendhat was "helping to set up the National Security Council of Afghanistan and the government in Helmand Province," then he was classified as a civilian. All in all, the Azov Battalion would be unlikely to find him a particularly impressive recruit.
The Lib Dems did a lot better at Tonbridge and Malling than at North Shropshire, they should make themselves useful and get Tugendhat out.
