The case of Jean Charles de Menezes should have precluded the appointment of Cressida Dick as Metropolitan Police Commissioner.
Instead, though, we have lately had Wayne Couzens, Deniz Jaffer and Jamie Lewis, the flat refusal to investigate the Downing Street parties, and now Stephen Port. How does she get away with it?
Well, in the carefully curated words of Wikipedia, "It was announced in December 2014 that she would retire from the police in 2015 to join the Foreign Office, in an unspecified director-general level posting."
See also the other great villain of the de Menezes case, Keir Starmer. It is all very spooky.
And you wonder why you're a marked man.
