Not Man For The Sabbath?

The Fifth of July could and should be the United Kingdom's National Day, to be kept as fulsomely as the Fourth of July was kept in the United States.

But never mind a National Day. As we are less than an hour away from seeing again, the National Health Service now has a weekly Sabbath, and it is more universally observed than any in this country since the Industrial Revolution at the latest. If anyone is not keeping it, then they are either on the Labour benches in Parliament, or they are or used to be on that party's staff.

The Prime Minister calls the NHS "the beating heart of this country". The Budget of March 2020, together with the Government's response to the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic, have ended the era that began with the Budget of December 1976. The Centre is the think tank for this new era. Please give generously.
