Take A Lead

Keir Starmer's Labour Party is behind the Conservatives everywhere except London, where it has a lead 10 points smaller than it had under Jeremy Corbyn. The Conservatives lead among middle-class and working-class voters alike. If there were a General Election this Thursday, then they would have a majority of more than 200.

Only 22 per cent of people want Starmer to become Prime Minister. Corbyn was doing better than this when the Parliamentary Labour Party launched its 2016 coup against him. And the MPs demanded Starmer, so who are the Right going to blame this time?

Fox News once attracted derision for billing Nigel Farage as the Leader of the Opposition, but that was because there really was one at the time. Perhaps it, or RT, or someone, or anyone, might describe a British interviewee in such terms and hope that it stuck?

Then again, let nothing you dismay. The Budget of March 2020 has ended the era that began with the Budget of December 1976. The Centre is the think tank for this new era. Please give generously.
