Now, Then, Now, Then

Neither Cardinal Napier nor anyone else needs any lectures on how to deal with "paedophilia" from the BBC.

He failed to recognise an audience unfamiliar with different categories of responsibility, that was all. He ought to have pointed out that the Church disciplines for this specific offence any cleric who has sexual contact with a person under the age of 18, two years older than the age of consent in the United Kingdom. It is perfectly obvious who has the moral high ground.

How's about that, then?
