Know The Score

I am available to take over David Miliband's seat on the Board of Sunderland AFC. I know exactly as much about football as he ever did.

And I find this fuss about Norman Bettison's knighthood all very well and good. But he is small fry.

The real cause is that of stripping Thatcher of the Garter and of the Order of Merit before she dies.

Justice for the 96, indeed.

  1. Oh. I had hoped you were blogging on Alan Moore.

Why would anyone want to strip her of those things exactly?

  3. Hillsborough, Orgreave, and more to come. She must curse every morning that she wakes up. But this would all have come out around now. She has lived too long for her own good. A State Funeral? She'll be lucky to get an unmarked ditch.

What does Hillsborough have to do with her? Or Orgreave?

Using this logic, Arthur Scargill is responsible for the taxi driver killed when two miners dropped a slab on his car to stop a miner getting to work.

  5. Keep telling yourself that, if it makes you feel better.

If she lives to 2015, then those two insignia are gone and no Minister will attend her funeral.

She should have died five or 10 years ago.

"She should have died five or 10 years ago."

Since when have you had a degree in medicine?

  7. I mean for the sake of her own reputation.

Hillsborough, Orgreave, the truth about behind the scenes in the run-up to and in the course of the Falklands War, Peter Righton, her strange penchant for knighting her pet pederasts (Sir Jimmy Savile, Sir Peter Morrison, Sir Laurens van der Post), and doubtless more to come yet.

She will go to her grave in disgrace.

You haven't proven she was aware of those men's actions at the time they were knighted.

Especially since the one about van der Post came out long after he was knighted and she was out of office.

She will go to her grave loved by her supporters and loathed by those too ignorant to realise how most of the things they blame her for were the responsibility of her big government paternalist predecessors.

And I don't see why Hillsborough concerns you. You follow a religion responsible for the destruction of swathes of native South American culture while also being an apologist for the war crimes of South Ossetians, Serbs and the Chinese in Tibet. Makes 96 dead look rather small doesn't it?

  9. MI5 and Special Branch will always have known about all of them, and will have made her fully aware. Everyone always knew about Morrison, in particular. She made him her PPS, her eyes and ears in the Commons, privy to everything.

I somehow doubt you know what MI5 and Special Branch knew or you'd provide proof.

  11. If they didn't know about Morrison, then they were the only people who didn't. Or Savile, it now seems.
