Getting The Greens Right

Jonathan Bartley and I have mutual friends. But that could be said of a lot of people.

No party led by him is in any sense part of the Left. As of course we already knew.

The Greens are in favour of zero economic growth, leading one to wonder what their objection to the present Government could possibly be.

And do the Greens regret the defeat of the miners in 1985? That is a Yes-No question.

  1. Tories the lot of them, always have been. Founded out of the Tory Party and everything. Thatcher was the first PM to see carbon reduction as the solution to everything, conveniently dovetailing with her desire to destroy the NUM.

    1. Quite.

There can be no "progressive alliance" with the plainly and simply right-wing SNP. And there can be none with the Greens, either.

As for the Lib Dems, they were in Coalition with David Cameron for five sixths of his time as Prime Minister.
