Proper Politics

An uproarious meeting at the rather fine Durham Miners' Hall, in support of the Teaching Assistants.

None of your Boris Johnson On The Telly rubbish. Proper politics.

Neil Kinnock once disowned a Labour council from the platform of a Labour Party Conference, in the presence of that council's leading figures.

When he addresses the Gala next month, Jeremy needs to denounce the grotesque chaos of a Labour council – a Labour council – scuttling round a county, handing out redundancy notices to its own workers.

Then, next May, every councillor who voted for this needs to lose his or her seat.

And with it, the allowance that was increased in the same week as this vicious measure was approved.

  1. Your speech was bloody brilliant. See you in County Hall next year, it's been a long time coming.
