Challenge

Why is each Oxbridge college allowed to enter separately?

    Oxford AND Cambridge.
    Probably because Bamber Gasgoigne was at magdalene College, Cambridge.
    "Paxo" also went to Cambridge.
    Other Cambridge people David Mellor, Stephen Fry and Miriam Margolys (sp)were on the TV show.

    Charles Moore was also on a Cambridge or Oxford team......proving I suppose that he does serve some purpose.

    The BBC seems to have decided that you are still at Oxbridge for University Challenge purposes until you qualify for your MA by conversion.
