Small Change

Good luck to those planning on employing Cherie Blair to recoup their money from Fred Goodwin. But we ought all to be looking rather closer to her home.

Goodwin’s much-reviled annual pension is roughly as much as Tony Blair receives for one speech from such Bush-lovers as there still are in America. They are few. But they are very, very rich.

For his access to their small change, a king’s ransom to the rest of us, this country has participated in the utterly calamitous war in Iraq. That has been fought by Britain, at least, for absolutely no reason except to enrich Tony Blair beyond the wildest dreams of the British people.

When are we going to get our hands on some of those ill-gotten gains?

  1. I've just had another email from Steven Alexander.

He honestly sounds quite unhinged, and I'm very tempted to call the police if he carries on this cyberstalking. Hopefully they can track him down through his IP address and reveal his identity - this is clearly criminal harassment by any standard, and I know you get quite exercised about that.

In the meantime, I've advised everyone he's been emailing to not to make any public comment about anything he's been discussing until after the 2010 elections have been and gone. Granted, this will impact on coverage of your impending candidacy, but I'm sure you'll agree that your physical safety must be paramount.

  2. I believe that the somewhat coarse modish term is "WTF?"

Actually, once I have finalised certain things, I will probably be blogging on this towards the end of the week.

    Now, back on topic.
