It has taken the Conservative Government and the coalition at County Hall a reprehensibly long time to declare a major incident.
But similar things happened when Labour was massively in control of Durham County Council while a Labour Government was headed by a County Durham MP.
The point is valid, but it is not a party point. And yes, I am indeed standing for Parliament again.
