Blowing up an arms depot in the Czech Republic is at least plausible, which cannot be said of any part of the official story about the Skripals.

But the name of Unit 29155 is now being used to revive last year's totally false, and immediately discredited, story that the pesky Ruskies had been paying mercenaries to attack American troops in Afghanistan.

That is the Afghanistan where many thousands of officially civilian American military contractors are to be staying on.

No one should listen to anyone who did not oppose the wars in Iraq and Libya. But the people who deserve the very highest respect and the very closest attention are those who opposed the war in Afghanistan.
