The White Stuff

A whole generation has been put off drugs in one day, then. So there is that. But Michael Gove has been susceptible to blackmail for "more than 20 years". Give that a moment to sink in. And where are the reporters laying siege to his family home, as they did to that of Kate Osamor? Still, no charges are expected. Well, of course not.

By contrast, did Fiona Onasanya commit the offence, such as it was, of which she was convicted? Very possibly. But most arrests never lead to a charge. And the decision to charge is not made by a jury, nor even by a judge. It is made by the Crown Prosecution Service.

Onasanya had offended the Crown Prosecution Service three times over, by her left-wing rather than Liberal Establishment politics, by its roots in her uppity blackness, and by the roots of that in a Christianity that dared to proclaim the Old Testament of Jesus Christ to be the Old Testament of Jesus Christ. With those offences was she charged. Of those offences was she convicted. For those offences was she imprisoned. And for those offences is she continuing to be hounded.

Whereas Gove is the Liberal Establishment personified, something quite different, and far more authoritarian and bellicose, than the liberal populism that the emergence of Remain as a distinct subculture has made electorally popular. He even has the culturally conservative Anglican liberalism to match. And he is of course is a fanatical Zionist. So there will be no criminal consequences to his admitted Class A drug use, a rather more serious matter than Onasanya's traffic infraction.

Another hung Parliament is coming, however, we need our people to hold the balance of power in it. A new party will be registered before House of Commons rises for the summer recess, even if I have to pay for it myself, ongoing lawfare or no ongoing lawfare. And I will stand for Parliament here at North West Durham even if I can raise only the deposit, which I could do by going pretty overdrawn, although that was not how I was brought up. I would still prefer to raise the £10,000 necessary to mount a serious campaign, but I am no longer making my candidacy conditional on having done so. In any event, please email davidaslindsay@hotmail.com. Very many thanks.
