I have known the Willow Burn Hospice for many, many years. I volunteered there until I myself became seriously ill.
It is held in unparalleled affection and respect by the community in the former District of Derwentside.
So you can imagine how well this has gone down.
But this is really only a variation on the very common theme of trespass by hunts.
And then there is the blocking of the roads, which was also a factor here, and for which anyone else would be arrested.
Even if you owned everything else as far as the eye could see, then you still would not own the public roads.
Behaving as if you did is a profound and terrifying act of contempt for the commonweal.
Surpassed only by being allowed to get away with it.
I wish you were in Parliament to make points like this.
