Lives, Matter

Protesters against Donald Trump have taken to attacking Starbucks and Bank of America.

Those were six figure donors to the campaign of Hillary Clinton.

Where were they when she and Barack Obama were bombing seven countries?

Or when he was deporting more immigrants than any other President, ever?

Or while the mass incarceration and the not uncommon Police killing of black America were continuing unimpeded on his watch?

Clinton's campaign did of course have other sources of funds besides corporate America.

But one assumes that these marches in the world's capitals will have avoided the Embassies of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

  1. That is all true but can you think of another time when far more people attended the protest on the same site the day after an inauguration than turned up to the inauguration itself? As you said earlier almost nobody, compared to previous inaugurations, bothered to go to Trump's.

    1. His people are claiming 900,000. In that case, just how many can the National Mall accommodate? It would have to be about two million.

  2. Wait for the Dems to take control of Congress in the midterms. Trump and Pence will both be impeached for anything to make Pelosi or whoever President.

    1. Impeachment is deliberately almost impossible to do. And if the Democrats are led by Pelosi in 2018, then they will neither win nor deserve to win.

  3. Trump's a shyster, but the silver lining is that all this PC, feminist, Black Lives Matter stuff is dead in the water now.

    1. With the defeat of Establishment liberalism, radicals are now the only opposition. And their only route to power is through the Rust Belt. Black Lives Matter was very much in opposition to the Obama Administration. It is going to remain alive and kicking.

  4. Black Lives Matter is made up of a sadly misguided working class base being lead by a pretentious and deceitful middle class, intellectual elite that cares only for its own advancement. They have lost all credibility with real people by blatantly lying about the most high profile cases they campaign on e.g. the killings of Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown, which have long since been proven to have been justified self-defence.

The whole movement rejects any form of class politics or universalism in favour of the bourgeois identity politics that grew like a weed under Obama.

I will laugh when the movement ends.

    1. You have entirely misunderstood it. In fact, you don't appear to know anything at all about it.
