According to The Westminster Hour, Labour is on course to lose “all four of their remaining County Councils”, namely Derbyshire, Lancashire, Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire.

Well, at least the BBC has ever heard of these places, even if no one in Broadcasting House would be able to locate any of them on a map.

But here in the county whose council was the first local authority that Labour ever won, and which it has never lost throughout the intervening hundred years, we have no such luck.
