Still Concerned

To the members of the Wage Concern Facebook group, John Prescott writes:

I just wanted to thank you all for joining the group and helping our fight against this Bill.

They cut and run at the last minute and pulled the Bill because they knew our campaign was putting too much pressure on them.

I was looking forward to making my speech too.

But the Bill's still down to be debated on June 12th so we've still got to keep the pressure up.

Anyway, thanks for your help and as I've said before, it just goes to show what you can we get out there and campaign.

This all started with Alex Ross. He joined Labour two years ago [he'll learn...]. He started this campaign a few weeks ago and yesterday at our Wage Concern rally, he ended up making his first speech in the Houses of Parliament.

It's not been a great week for politics. But days like yesterday show the political system can work for the greater good.

Thanks for playing your part in proving that.
