The Country Party? Or The Court Party?

There is a strong case for fewer MPs. But have the Tories, who with historical illiteracy affect to have some ancestral right to represent the countryside in Parliament, considered the effect on rural areas?

We need a powerful new second chamber, with each of the the English ceremonial counties, the Scottish lieutenancy areas, the Welsh preserved counties, and the Northern Irish counties (a total of 99 units) having the same number of members, a number at least greater than one. Each of us would vote for one candidate, with the requisite number declared elected at the end.
