The Cap Fits

When Ed Miliband proposed an energy price cap, then he was screamed down as "Loony Left".

Yet here it is.

You need to be economically pretty left-wing in order to outflank Theresa May. Or even just in order to shift the debate while she is in office.

That is no job, then, for Owen Smith, with his proposal for a minimum wage 75p lower than that proposed by George Osborne.

There are two types of Corbyn opponent, the ones who think that he is ridiculous, and the ones who think that he is frightening.

But Smith inspires only ridicule. No one is frightened of him, or of anyone associated with him.

That says it all.

  1. We need you back in the party and then we need you in Parliament. You should have been in for years by now. You would have been if it hadn't been for the local Owen Smith tendency. You've got them down to a tee on here.
