Friends Like These

Cameroon was never part of the British Empire. Nor was Mozambique. Nor was Rwanda. All three have now chosen to join the Commonwealth, a body headquartered in London and headed by the British monarch, as such.

They actively desire, and have therefore consciously acquired, a relationship with Britain and her monarchy. They see that as they way to better relations with their own African neighbours, and the way to a better standing in the world. That is their own, considered view. And they have acted on it.

Whereas our Political Class universally prefers the EU and the American hegemony of which it is an integral part, as much as anything else a direct threat both to the monarchy and to our Commonwealth membership. Think on.
