The Price of Our Support

The window to register as a Labour supporter, and thus to vote in the Leadership Election, will open for 48 hours, beginning on Monday 18th July.

But such registration will now cost £25, not the three that it did last year. Twenty-five quid. Not to join. Just to vote in one election.

Also, you will not be able to vote as a member unless you have been one for at least six months.

130,000 other paid-up members will each have to pay this ludicrous sum of money just to vote, as supporters of the party of which they were already members.

I do not yet know about affiliated supporters through the unions. That is free, so do it if you can.

Even if they imposed the six month freeze, then you still would not have lost anything.
